2nd real attempt!

Well, it's about 8 months since my 1st and last post. Alyson's here visiting and (not so) patiently helping me relearn everything I haven't ever learned about posting on blogs, uploading fotos and ordering a foto online, etc. It's a painful yet comic session we're having together! Current lesson: how to load a stinkin' foto onto this blog site. Here goes - -
In February Larry and I did a quick weekend trip with my brother Rick & his wife Joyce to Sedona, AZ. It was Super Bowl Sunday, cold and snowy even. But gorgeous scenery and great company! We even did a "cowboy" trek - kind of.

Well, after several attempts to arrange this so it makes sense with the fotos, I GIVE UP!! Who knows if I'll ever try this again! Poor Alyson just needs a break from poor little Griffin crying too much today and me being so darned needy about this blog thing!

OH well . . .

Well, I tried to download the video clips - - didn't happen. If anyone wants to give me a call and walk me thru it, then we can watch the dance.

Goin' for another try!

Well - I just successfully posted my first entry! I'm goin' for broke: If this works, I'm going to post a video link from our camera. The setting: on the way back from a day trip in Mexico. The boat crew puts on the "party" mode - people are drinking, disco music playing ...they pull "volunteers" out of the audience to do some racy dance action. Guess who gets pulled out to represent all the ladies onboard? Our Heather! Poor girl-embarassing! The crew party guy tries to show Heather how she should be "enticing." Then with no other choice but to have to get thru this, Heather does a darned-good G-rated version of femme fatale dancing! Todd gets pulled into it and totally does his part - omigosh! Right in front of his own family! Too funny!

My own attempt!

So I thought I'd indulge myself today with an attempt to learn about how to do a blogspot. The original post on our own blogspot (for those who didn't see how obvious it was-ha!) was actually not done by us but by our self-designated pitch hitter!
Why does it always look so easy for everyone else? Yea, right! Anyway, I THOUGHT I was downloading a different photo, but this is what I got. I still like it - but no family in it! So I'll let it stand (can't spend another 1/2 hr. trying to download another one!).
This foto represents an AWESOME trip we had with our kids and spouses to Mexico a few weeks ago! We stayed in a wonderful "casa" on the beach with its own pool. We decided to make this an adults-only trip with no grandkids. We sure missed the grandkids, but LOVED the total vacation for all the parents! The only downside was that Tyson and Diana couldn't join us.
If this works, I just may try to download a video from our trip since apparently I can't email the video clip to Todd like I wanted to do. If it doesn't work, oh well - - this will have to do for another few months til I try this again!

Can you believe it? We are really, truly blogging (this internet thing is so new and fancy)

As most of you know, I love the snow. I love to be cold and so Larry and I decided that we would leave the nasty, warm weather in San Antonio and go somewhere where we can actually see our breath - Connecticut. Where they have a good solid foot of snow for me to roll around in.
Okay - our real reason for leaving TX is so that we could spend Christmas with Sarena and Adam and their kids. It took some coaxing but I did finally manage to get outside and have some fun in the snow. Here is our french snowman Pierre - he's cute - reminds me a little of Larry, same complexion.

Our fun in the snow would not be complete without a snowball fight. Of course, everyone was picking on me so I had to show them who is boss. You don't mess with this Grandma. Trevor just happened to get in a lucky shot. After this I started crying and he felt bad and then I shoved snow down his shirt. That'll teach him - little bugger.

Here is a picture with me, my daughter and my granddaughter slaving away in the kitchen, Adam got up from the couch just long enough to take a picture (must have been during a time-out). As you can see, I'm wearing my favorite cooking apron - I'm all about the ruffles! If anyone is looking for any mothers day or birthday gift ideas for me, you can't go wrong with ruffles.

The Sharps had a Christmas tree but for some reason, Sarena decided that they needed another one, so Makenzie and Larry found this Ethiopian tree, cut it down and brought it home. Pretty sad tree really, I just like the action shot of Larry with a saw, what a handsome devil.

As most of you probably already know, I work for an airline. I don't want to mention the name because the Internet police may be watching and I already cause enough trouble at work. But believe me, the company I work for is a whole different animal. Now I believe that people who work for the airlines, especially the benevolent, hardworking people who check in all the lousy customers, have a bad reputation, so I thought I would post a clip that is part of our "New Hire training class" just so you know - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgkvIbsJrD0
