Can you believe it? We are really, truly blogging (this internet thing is so new and fancy)

As most of you know, I love the snow. I love to be cold and so Larry and I decided that we would leave the nasty, warm weather in San Antonio and go somewhere where we can actually see our breath - Connecticut. Where they have a good solid foot of snow for me to roll around in.
Okay - our real reason for leaving TX is so that we could spend Christmas with Sarena and Adam and their kids. It took some coaxing but I did finally manage to get outside and have some fun in the snow. Here is our french snowman Pierre - he's cute - reminds me a little of Larry, same complexion.

Our fun in the snow would not be complete without a snowball fight. Of course, everyone was picking on me so I had to show them who is boss. You don't mess with this Grandma. Trevor just happened to get in a lucky shot. After this I started crying and he felt bad and then I shoved snow down his shirt. That'll teach him - little bugger.

Here is a picture with me, my daughter and my granddaughter slaving away in the kitchen, Adam got up from the couch just long enough to take a picture (must have been during a time-out). As you can see, I'm wearing my favorite cooking apron - I'm all about the ruffles! If anyone is looking for any mothers day or birthday gift ideas for me, you can't go wrong with ruffles.

The Sharps had a Christmas tree but for some reason, Sarena decided that they needed another one, so Makenzie and Larry found this Ethiopian tree, cut it down and brought it home. Pretty sad tree really, I just like the action shot of Larry with a saw, what a handsome devil.

As most of you probably already know, I work for an airline. I don't want to mention the name because the Internet police may be watching and I already cause enough trouble at work. But believe me, the company I work for is a whole different animal. Now I believe that people who work for the airlines, especially the benevolent, hardworking people who check in all the lousy customers, have a bad reputation, so I thought I would post a clip that is part of our "New Hire training class" just so you know - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgkvIbsJrD0

  1. LOVE the ruffles, Mom. And what kind of tree is that? Looks like tons of fun. We wish we could have had some snow down here too. Maybe next year.

  2. I always knew deep down you loved the snow and the cold. : ) But there is a GROSS error on your blog; I'm sure it's merely a typo. We all know that I am your favorite kid (Adam and Sarena must have hacked into your account and made the change; there's no other rational explanation!) And one last thing - I think ruffles are totally your thing. I can't wait for Mother's Day. You're going to get a ruffle-lific present. Love you guys, and welcome to the age of the internet ... a full decade late. : )

  4. I didn't. I couldn't figure out how there was a kid named Josh in our family that I didn't know about. Thanks for clarifying.

  7. Wow, you have a blog now, and you even made a link to a YouTube video. I am impressed.

Ok, and you totally copied me with the apron. But don't worry...I have the same on in multiple colors.
